Liberating minds as well as society.- Angela Y Davies

In regard to the last blog, I forgot to mention that "misogynoir" is a portmanteau of the words misogyny and noir (meaning black in French). It was a term coined by Moya Bailey in regard to the unique intersectionality of racism and sexism experienced by many WOC or TWOC. So if you want to delve deeper into the history of this subject, especially in regard to the USA (though it does touch on the UK in some chapters too) I would recommended this book also. As well as queer activist Audre Lorde's book " Sister Outsider". Here is one of my favourite poems from this aforementioned book, as well as a link to a video I watched many moons ago by Franchesca Ramsey, discussing social biases.
